All the dates are on the UCD website, here. It's a late start this year due to late Leaving Cert results: orientation week is 6 September, lectures start 13 September.

NB: mature student orientation is usually on the first Saturday (4 Sep this year)

Death has this much to be said for it:
You don’t have to get out of bed for it.

Lectures start on the Monday, which is the 13th, right? (What's "orantion"?)

Dunno what Smurfit's doing. They're a Graduate School, probably a bit more flexible than the undergraduate schedule, so check the details for your programme with them.

Orientation is a week for first years to explore and get to know the campus as well as meet up with the people in their course and their peer mentors. It happens before all the later years arrive. Sort of like Hogwarts, without the train and no flying cars or Dumbledore, ok wait it ain't like Hogwarts at all.

Answering something so sarcastic as "(Whats orantion?)" made me lol.

Unless this is one of those times when I read peoples tones differently than what they intended... In which case sorry for laughing :)
