Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,

    I have been on the JSA for around 11 months now and have received a letter from the local Welfare office asking am I continuing to meet the conditions of my JSA, namely being free to take up full-time work and making efforts to find suitable work.

    There are a couple of pages to fill out also and one part is asking me to give details of jobs applied for, who I spoke with, what they said etc etc.

    Is this a normal procedure as part of the JSA?

    Cheers

    unfortunately it is.....i know that most of us apply for jobs through internet make sure you kept or keep print out or forward to your email to print out and you can attach them to forms
    in this day and age they have to realise that most recruitment agencies and employers dont even bother getting back to people acknowledging they received a cv
    but play along with the game its easier that way

    Thanks for your reply.

    I think I have a few records of emails/CV's sent so will try find them.

    Is 11 months the norm for reviewing your JSA? ie. before the year is up or something?

    Will they ask me to bring identification/bank statements and all that lark with me again?

    Yes, it is normal, they used to ask you for;

    name, address, phone number etc ... from employers you applied for a job with, I know some people used to call into offices and shops and ask the manager to sign a sheet stating they called in looking for work.

    Good idea to keep ALL documents, the way things are now they are very strict about such things,

    all the best

    I always bring that stuff with me in a large envelope, they may ask they may not, really depends on who you get! :rolleyes:
