anyway of getting 2 cat 5's into one homeplug? but only got one machine to operate and the other even with the 1st one switched off would not connect to home network at all!
anyone got a cheap solution?

Simplest/cheapest thing to do would be to buy an ethernet switch and use that to give you as many ports as you like.

For example or maybe something even smaller/cheaper.
