Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I was very fortunate to get this gig and it's also my first time shooting at an FIA sanctioned event. Having done my research I learned that long lenses are a must at the HTTT, 300mm or bust. My longest lense is a 300 F4 prime but I was told not to worry as I'd be supplied with a 400 2.8 and 1.4x for the event.

I was present shooting for Speedhunters.com and Team Need for Speed Schubert Motorsport. I've never shot GT1 / GT3 before (although I have shot the 24H Nurburgring this year so have some experience of sports car racing) Obviously it's a big step up from the world of drifting in pretty much every single way. I've included six shots below, the full galleries of which can be viewed on my own site at http://www.pmcgphotos.com

All C&C would be very much welcomed !

    Epic shots paddy.
Really sharp on track and then creative off it.

Very jealous of all these races you get to.

If I may be so bold as to take a quote from Monty Python's Life of Brian....

    " You lucky,lucky B@stard...

...They must think the sun shines out o' your arse, sonny!"

    :D

    #2,4 & 6 for me.

Did you have to hand back the lens and tc?:p

Unfortunately yes. Even worse, I now need one in my life.

Wow! I wasn't even going to peep in, as I know nothing about cars/motor sports in general [yet still watch Top gear :D ] but those shots are great. Good stuff :)

Awesome shots! Post these in motors;)

Number 2 I really really like - it's funny though because it has this "deserted petrol station on a long summery roadtrip" feel to it - and then being completely contrasted by a kick-ass car!

I don't really know enough about this to provide proper feedback but that second shot really stood out for me, and a very enjoyable set altogether.

    2 and 5 for me...
2 especially you could see in any car racing mag and it wouldn't stand out of place, it actually reminds me as if its from a 70s car magazine.

i think the contrast is a bit overcooked on the last two; i think the blown highlights in the first of the two are a bit distracting, especially since it's a 'busy' pic.

    I adore no. 2!

I was going to say the 2nd last has a lot of blown highlights, but didn't because I couldn't really comment on the others only to say they're great. The driver's glove and the car frame up along the left could be pulled back a bit. Bit blinding. The over exposure pulls your eyes away from the main subject.

    Excellent stuff.

Number 3 is the one for me.

    Excellent Shots!

#2 and #3 are my favourites.

Love the feeling/mood from the light in #2.

Love the lines and colours in #3.

Always say what you feel, forget the majority.
