Lead guitar player required for well established Midlands based band specialising in pubs and weddings .The ideal person must be versatile with a professional outlook.Setlist covers everything from Michael Buble to Lady Gaga from MGMT to Joe Dolan and from Dolly Parton to AC/DC hence the versatility requirement;). Ability to also have a sense of humour on stage will also help. plenty of gigs for the right person:D. Own transport and pro gear essential. Vocals would be an advantage but not essential.

I would have thought there would have been loads of replies to an ad like this!. Ready made, successful band to slot into? Only i'm fairly busy with my own band I would have replied. If ya need someone to stand in any night, i'd gladly oblige. I play everything from Mick Denver to AC/DC and anything in between, vocals too. Sure if you want to have a chat pm me. If this is Damien, I did the sound in Delaneys for the Laois final of Star of our bars:)

Your dead right Ger, Damian here. Hows things?. To tell you the truth I'm shocked at the lack of interest out there myself!. The amount of guys on forums complaining that theres no gigs going etc etc and here we are offering it on a plate??. Glad to hear things are busy for yourselves too. Im a lead guitar player based in Kilcock

I'm playing for 15 years, and been in all types of bands, originals/covers, classic rock, punk, funk, metal, Thin Lizzy tribute band, soul.

My main influences would be, 60's 70's classic rock but to be honest would play anything. If I was to name a few bands/artists they would be..

Thin Lizzy, AC/DC, Pink Floyd, Bowie, Guns, Radiohead, Rage, Stones, Beatles, Zepp, Eagles, Hendrix, Kings, Queen, Halen, U2, Fleetwood, Deep Purple.

The list goes on and on. Basically I play everything, Depends on the bands.

Hi, I'm not sure if you guys are still looking for a guitarist or not. Where exactley are you based in Laois. Im originally from Portlaoise myself and been living in Waterford the last few years, but I don't mind traveling if there is enough gigs available. I have an honors degree in music (majored in performance & minor in composition) from WIT and been mostly playing jazz the last four years but I've been playing rock/metal type stuff from the day I started playing guitar. Playing guitar going on 19 years. I'm very open minded when it come to music styles and there isn't a lot I don't like. I'm into everything from Pantera, Pearl jam, Steve Vai, BB king, Vanessa Carlton (I didn't just admit that did I), to Joe Pass, Wes Montgomery, Pat Martino etc.... too many to name them all.
