Just seen this post on p.ie
FF mayor of Galway Michael Crowe just attended the Protests in Galway City against the cutbacks into children with intellectual disabilities. He wasn't speaking. He was in the crowd

He wasn't well received and his "groupies" had to tell the crowd to stop shouting.

When press started to come over to where the mayor was, he left immediately in his chauffeur driven mayoral car.

People holding up anti-FF posters stood in front of his car. The driver practically ran them over.

He wasn't going to be filmed on RTE.

Something tells me Michael Crowe will have his work cut out to get elected in Galway next time round.

    Brilliant!
This is a protest to highlight how gov. cut backs and the targeting of the most vulnerable in society will be affected when the brothers of charity
will have to curtail many services it provides.
Was anyone down at todays protest?

We can only hope that the rivalry between himself and Fahy will result in neither being elected in the next election.

The services provided were limited for people with special needs during the good times, and those lucky enough to shout for their rights only barely got what was necessary. It's awful to see that Ireland is treating some of its most vulnerable citizens so poorly.
