This seems to be going down a bad path. It could have been organised better etc etc. but it was a first time match and we should chalk it up to experience.

What leaves a sour taste in my mouth is the following three things.

1. We capped A and B on summit in the space of 20 seconds and your clan thought it would be fun to pretend that 3 of your players were stuck at the synchronising game settings menu so that we'd have to start again.

2. Were noob tubes not banned? China lake much.

3. The 25 sec spawn delay was purposely done. Save yourself the hassle of trying to pretend it was a mistake. Your clan specifically had the 25 second spawn delay because you figured we'd be so unfamiliar with hardcore camp the flag that we'd die a lot. To say that it was fair game because you had the same delay is bull****. You lot specialise in hctf, that was the first time the 6 of us had played it together.

If he does get a screenshot and i'm proven wrong then i sincerely apologise. From what i recall, i said that there would be no changes regarding killstreaks. If in fact i failed to deliver that info the blame lies with myself.

The fact is our team aren't fond of killstreaks so i can't see how you can suggest we had an unfair advantage with them on. I myself can't stand the ****ing things and my posts on this thread and many more will back me up.

Look, seriously, you need to chill out big time, you're voice message, your text in boards? Way over the top, a bit of trashtalk and a little joke here and there is grand, to get actively angry over a video game is just short of ADHD. I apologised for the HCTF thing, it was my mistake and I assure you it wasn't done on purpose, we suffered the exact same as you. If you want a rematch, same map, same mode, no problems, we can arrange than, we will even let you host.

As for the china lakes thing, I don't remember them being banned? I don't remember seeing anyone agreeing or disagreeing to that? I never used them, but thats beside the point.

Finally we where 10 seconds into the game, one person was stuck, I can assure of that, if someone recorded it, you can go back and see for yourself clearly, he couldnt pick a side. Immediatly after leaving I emailed you to negate some of the damage done.

The rest of your team are/were very gracious pre and post match except yourself? You won, whats there to moan about?

EDIT: I can only post the HCTF into my fileshare, Ross, you should be able to view summit. Once you have done this, and saw that one member has not joined a team, feel free to come on here and tell us what you saw, better yet stick it in your fileshare so I can see it as well, I wont hold my breath for an apology.

RE-EDIT: As for what you remember for the KS's event is not what actually happened. If needs when I get a hold of work laptop I will post a screenshot on your very short reply regarding the KS's. Finally, you keep mentioning that HCTF was the first time the six of you have played that gamemode together.

If it makes you feel any better, it was the first time the six of us have played domination together, and my first time playing domination at all on a clan to clan match, and better yet, yesterday was the first time I've EVER played domination on any FPS multiplayer game.

Clan matches , are supposed to be decided on the highest skill , in black-ops thats means no harcore , no equipment , no killstreaks and no tubing . There seems to be a mix up in the messages between Ross and Mark , I for one assumed there would be killstreaks as it wouldnt have made sense to have killstreaks for one game and not for another.

What's there to moan about? Frankly quite a lot. You're exploring every nook and cranny to find some miniscule piece of information that can show how we had an ''advantage'' in a certain game-type.

Thats where we got the idea that tubes/launchers were banned ...someone from your own team.

Next time you want a match with a clan. Draft up a set of rules on a word document that aren't plucked out of thin air.

In answer to 1. You can go into your playercard and check "my recent games" and see that the IRL player Walshy couldnt join. He was looking foward to these games as much as anyone else and it wouldnt of been fair on him to be left out. If the same happened with a BRDS player I would back out of the game myself just to get him in, even though he is the opposition. Wheres your christmas spirit man?

2. If its in the game, use it. Its the easiest way to organise these things. Dont ban anything that cant actually be banned in the game set up. Example is I hate second chance. If I had a choice between ending world hunger, and getting rid of second chance from all CoD games, I'd let all the African children starve.

3. The 25 second respawn should never have happened, but your forgetting something. Both teams had to deal with it. Easy solution. Let myself, and one of the BRDS clan members set up the games in future.

By PM we should just agree to do 4 matches. 2 choosen by each side, without the same game mode being repeated by either team.

I think a few people on both sides are taking this abit too seriously. I agree with Enigma. Beers and hookers.

You did indeed say that, as did I. But not once have I come here to attack you for seemingly underhanded tactics or to discuss a conspiracy in which the IRL clan tried to defeat the BRDS clan through buggery.

My initial post match response was one of review, I wanted to congratulate your win, and tell you how I felt the match went, even so that we could all discuss it together so something like this wouldn't happen again.

After reviewing the file from TDM, everything seemed fair, FAILSAFE had a nasty lag from start to finish but nothing that could be helped, or would have contributed in any real way to the match.

Big up son, it's not the end of the world, we'll play again, with tighter rules and a better understanding of what should happen to accomodate both teams. Hopefully with a little less anger from yourself, or a visit to doctor phil might be in order . I kid, I kid, I'm trying to lighten to air a little.............. don't beat me :eek:.

So Round one is -

Hardcore Capture the flag. It will consist of 2 rounds, unless it ends in a draw where a 3rd round will decide the winner, and second round is Domination on Core? One round?

The only rules are,

1. No substitions, there's a 15 minute break between each game type and an extra five minutes if either team require it.

2. No trashtalk, we're here to decide the all-Ireland champs.

Should the gametypes end in a draw I think it's only fair we indulge in a map agreed TDM of either Core/Hardcore (we'll decide in game).

Any questions or changes anyone wants to make?

This should have been brought up after this was posted. Plenty of time to discuss the finer points of this match was given.

Haha judging my level of ability. Taking a look at your k/d w/l and time played you come across as quite the strange one.

I'd suggest one on one ffa if it was possible, although the amount of times i caught you sitting in the corner, it wouldn't be very appropriate.

You posted that the day before the match , i wasnt on here , when the challenge was issued it was the challenger (bubbleking) from your team that said tubes were banned.

I used to be involved a lot in the competitive scene when i was younger and the rules you posted were not rules , there was nothing clear on what was allowed and what wasnt. In the competitive match i used to play it was always on the highest skill settings . Can you imagine the farce that could have been if all 12 of us were tubing in hardcore .

We can argue about this until the cows come home but what s done is done. Things probably should have been organised differently , personally i would have preferred the mlg settings as it determines the more skillfull clan.
Anyway i think we've all learned a few things from this.

Can you make a montage of times I camped in a certain area for more than 10 seconds? The only reason I ask is because I would be very interested in seeing it. You would be maybe wittled down to one 11 second clip.

I make it policy not to camp, in our HCTF I think I capped, 5/6 of our teams flag?

As for my K/D W/L ratio. W/L is low because I find myself playing alone without the IRL for more of the challenge, and K/D is low because I never camp.

That being said for anyone interested, my W/L is 1.63, and K/D is 1.20.
