live isnt that expensive anymore, can get a 14 month sub for 39 bucks in hmv, thats less than a quid a week to use it. tis annoying rebuying the same game on another format alright though. stupid expensive hobby :pac:

Overall, it works out cheaper to own an xbox.

Launch playstation was close to €700.
Launch Xbox was €300.

The €400 I've saved has been reinvested in a working online system.

EDIT: Another thing, if your XBox breaks they replace it. PlayStation dont.

I got my PS3 for 250 Including uncharted2 + MW2 Bargin !!

3 Reasons why i prefer my PS3

1. IMO it has better exclusives + Far more of them
2. Friends play on it (Works both ways obviously)
3. Bluray - I've got a ton of bluray dvd's

My xbox is loud as hell !!! Like a plane taking off when i start that bad boy up ! (Its a day 1 model)


The PS3 outage couldn't have come at a better time in fairness !!! I'd love to compare exam results between xbox users + ps3 users this year !!!!

Can't argue with the 3 points. Only thing I'll say is, the exclusives means nothing to me. I own 3 games. MW, MW2 and Blops. I don't play single player games. Gaming online with friends is the only thing that appeals to me and for that, I think Xbox provides a better service.

Yep, no question about that in fairness, before the outage i'd argue that the PS3 does what its suppose to do, join a party and play some games, no need to be fancy. Hopefully they add some new features when it comes back online tho, doubt it somehow.

Well what a load of arse :mad: came on just before 6 to keep the 2x xp going, at 6.20 I get an error message sayin BLOPS server unavailable n then got disconnected from XBL, think maybe they added something with the maps so ya couldnt keep gettin 2x xp after the actual 2x xp finished??

That came up on mine today at 5 but i just connected again without going back to the main menu and still going x2 xp.

Not sure, it kicked me back to dashboard, thats why im wondering if they patched something and now it doesnt let you stay in to keep getting the 2x xp

I am still getting double XP, but none of the guys I play with are greedy like me so I am still on the older playlist and am stuck playing with randomers.
