I once went to a play world in Galway on a school tour and blew Peter Pans out of the water, it was like ten times bigger and cooler! But yes I would love to spend an afternoon in Peter Pan's. When I win the lotto, I am going to open one just for adults and kids side by side so that the adults can have fun too :)

    Peter Pan's Play World!

Often confused with Pirates Play-world on Clare Street. :)

Different generations posting here, I used to bring my kids there :)

Is it wrong that I was too young for the Clare Street one?

I remember it but I think "the bouncers" wouldn't let me in! :(

Who or what is captain jack?!

A rather relaxed cafe with an enclosed backyard where all us cool secondary school students used to hang out.

    Don't lie to me ;)

Ha seriously though, where was it located?

Thomas St, near Bella Italia, the building doesn't exist anymore. It used to have a tiny
front area then you went downstairs and it was huge. Their hot sauce was epic.

In fact now that I think about it, it used to be an internet cafe before it was captain jacks. Can't for the life if me remember the name of it though.

And can anyone remember the name of the kids play centre thing that used to be in the crescent?? It had that steep red coke slide that went into a ball pit? Drivin me nuts!

I remember it took me ages to work up the courage to go on that slide in a similar place. I don't know how many times I sat there with my legs hanging over the side only to chicken out again. I had convinved myself that instead of sliding down, I would just drop the 8 or 9 feet on to the flat part of the slide. Was some rush when I finally did it and moved up from the spiral slide group to the cooler vertical crowd.

Bridge in Adare is down to one lane for some kinda works.
This being Ireland, one can only assume that it will not be back to two lanes before the Friday afternoon logjam.
    Enjoy!

Also - anyone know anywhere currently stocking ladies baselayers?
    Size S/XS
    Longsleeve
    White
    In that order of priority.

Try river deep on Patrick St, Emerald alpine on Roches St or Tkmaxx they always have loads of that stuff.

Techie guys I am about to have a total meltdown

Suddenly this morning my USB key stopped working - I have tried it on 5 different PCs. It is either not detected at all, or if it shows up as a drive, when you click on it it just says please insert disk - I have tried changing the name of the drive under disk management but it still can't find the disk.
Is there any way of getting the contents off the USB key in situations like this e.g. software that will work or a particular IT repairs outfit that offer this service locally that somebody could recommend? I'll pay a lot as I need the data!

Is it rattley, or flexy at the bit you plug in?
If so, it might be a physical problem, which should be handy enough to fix (long enough to get stuff off it).

EH it sounds like a hardware fault, this can unfortunately happen sometimes out of the blue, however if i can get it detected, the fact it shows up with the "please insert disk" or "disk must be formatted" prompts mean the data is recoverable. if you're around the city at some stage i can meet up with you and try and recover the data for you using specialist data recovery software i have here, save you a couple of quid anyway... :)

That would be excellent though I fear the worst as when I try running chkdsk in a command line it says: Cannot open volume for direct access.

If you still think it is worth a shot I will gladly meet you anytime that suits. With large quantites of craft beer and/or chocolate for your efforts :)
