Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Anyone know of a device that can communicate with cell towers via gsm and would let me see and even transmit my own raw data. Would it be possible to manually interact with a sim card and proxy the information back and forth to identify myself etc.

I'm not sure exactly what you mean so i don't know if the following is relevant, but i have used telemetry systems that send data packets (very small) back to a server via GSM. And have configured the remote outstations over it as well

you can use the USRP to communicate with gsm towers.

Seems a bit expensive. The cheap one is 700 quid. Is there anyway to use a normal phone that has been rooted?

yes, it's possible but i would imagine it involves a difficult amount of work, depending on what you want to do.. there may already be a solution.
