Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Shinya Aoki defeated Tatsuya Kawajiri via submission (Achilles lock) in round one
Gesias "JZ" Cavalcante defeated Katsunori Kikuno via split decision
Gegard Mousasi defeated Jake O'Brien via submission (guillotine choke) in round one
Tatsuya Mizuno defeated Melvin Manhoef via submission (kimura) in round one
Michihiro Omigawa defeated Young Sam Jung via submission (guillotine choke) in round one
Mitsuhiro Ishida defeated Daiki "DJ.taiki" Hata via unanimous decision
Kazuhiro Nakamura defeated Karl Amoussou via unanimous decision

Back to the ring this time and not the cage which they had been using for the past few events.
Typical Dream card really, nothing compared to UFC 116 but still quite good. Anyone see it?

The ref in the Manhoef/Mizuno fight should never be let ref again, disgrace.

Here are three of the fights.

The ending with Manhoef pretty much trapped in the ropes was ridiculous. What hope did he have of escaping or even defending himself? Using the cage would get rid of this stupidity but the ref really should have done something. What was the guy on the outside pushing his head gonna achieve?

Jake O'Brien managed to weigh in at 226 for a 205 fight and in the ring looked like he was even more. Looked both out of shape and like he didn't want to be there.

It was 212 he weighed in at. What was he playing at? He lost 10% of the fight purse. He looked terrible in the ring. Shooting for a half-arsed double leg. The immediately tapping to the guillotine, without even attempting an escape.

Did the commentator say: "It's goodnight Irene" a couple of times in the Aoki-Kawajiri match? He is very annoying.

O' Brien looked shocking, but apparently he was offered the fight on 12 days notice, had not trained in a few months and would have had to cut 37lbs to get to 205. Not quite a work, but Dream need to give people reasonable notice if they don't want to be seen as interfering in fight outcomes.

He seemed to be unconscious, or next too it by the time the ref stopped the fight. Can't criticise him for an early tap.

O Brien Should never have taken that fight if he knew he was going to show up in that state, he physically looked fat for want of a better word, he showed up for a purse end of story. As short as the fight was O Brien looked from the out set like he had zero interest in being there and his performance proved it
SHort notice is no excuse, for not staying in shape at that level, look at Chris Leben last week , granted he was in shape from the fight 2 weeks prior but that fight 2 weeks prior was no cake walk either was it.

As for the ref's anyone watching mma for a while know these guys are among the most experienced in the business and have been around since the pride fc days , and so should have know better.

As for Melvin I'm gutted, love the guy but man he needs to sure up his sub defense, thats 3 fights in recent times. Ok this fight should have without question been reset to center ring, as he was under the pads ffs but still got the feeling would have been tapped if the fight stayed on the ground.
