Installing windows7 from usb

I'm trying to install windows 7 to my laptop via USB (BIOS wont recognise the disc drive) And I cant find a way to make a .img file out of it.

Any suggestions would be welcome.

Ugh!!!
Graphics card isnt supported by 7 and its playing havok with my inner calm so to speak. Now i need to go back to XP but i cant get past the bootsect.exe part in the tutorial...

What am i doing wrong?

What graphics card model? What Laptop model? Give a bit more detail so people can focus on the problem better.

Sorry if the above comes across as snippy, it just might look that way in print.

It's a Compaq Presario F500. The graphics card is an NVIDIA® GeForce™ Go 6100.

I haven't been able to find a compatible driver for Win7.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
