    Welcome to Boards.ie.

    To open a new thread or post in a particular forum you do exactly what you did to open this thread. You click on the "New Thread" button newthread.gifon the top left hand side of any forums main page.

    The only restriction I can think of is that AFAIK there are some forums that are not public and you have to join up before you can post. I would imagine that in these cases there would be a thread at the top of the page outlining how you would go about joining the forum.
