    I've seen a dealers advertisement from NI that says you do not have to pay VAT if you show them your VAT reg cert.

    If I got a tractor from NI and didn't pay VAT would I have to pay VAT when I brought it into Ireland ?

    No need to pay when you are registered for VAT.
