Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    contador wont work !

    schleck has to drop him

(i guess contador thinks he can do him i the time trial)

caisse d'erpange rider gives contador a bottle shock

Lance riding twice as good as Sunday. Amazing.

    Evans is serious trouble

I think Contador is trying to save himself for whats to come, believing he can beat Andy in the Time trial.

Armstrong going very well. Wiggins is goosed, gonna struggle to make top 30 i'd say at the rate he is dropping back. Basso looking strong for the stage.

Schlek has the advantage at the mo, with voigt up front with him.

If the 2 of these stick at it, will it be a 2 horse race after today?

It already is in truth man. Evans is going back at a rate of knots. Nobody can stick with Contador and Schlek.

Ya amazing how he can turn it round after a disaster on Sunday and riding a huge Col yesterday on the rest day. Really is amazing

As much as i dont like armstrong, give it a rest for 5 mins so the rest of us can enjoy the race

There's also a few hard days in the Pyrenees to go as well, there's no point in Berto trying to drop Andy, his best option is to sit there and make Schleck do all the work

I am sure Tom's mancrush for Jens is getting deeper and deeper ...
    GO JENS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Wow! Evans is completely bust

It just the value of a team as BMC clearly aren't up to the job. He's donw 4 minutes on Schleck and Contador already.

Could get hairy on the decent if people like Menchov or Basso try and get back some time. Both could easily flip over the edge

    Wheres Roche ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 375 ✭✭Raedwald

Contador making sure voigt cant join them on the descend.

I think Sandy cassare might nab the stage.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,916 ✭✭✭NickDrake

Wiggins has a total disaster. English hyping his up to win it and he will be lucky to make the top 10. Why do the hype their sports people up SO much.

    hilarious really

Eurosport havent a clue about where anybody is apart from the four main groups.

Maybe in between the armstrong and evans groups.

Roche was dropped before Evans but hopefully he's riding it at his own pace and can pass some of those who've blown

so they can knock them down !
acttually the press has bigged upthe wigg but most polls put him top 20 looks like uk cycling fans know more than the press

anyway cadel 9'35 down at the top !

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,724 ✭✭✭kennyb3

Andy has certainly improved his descending!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,504 ✭✭✭✭DirkVoodoo

Blame Sky Sports and their frivolous use of the term "world class" in describing their sports stars. I have no sympathy for the footballers but the likes of Andy Murray having their confidence smashed by idiot media is pretty sad to see. He's either going to win wimbledon or never win a major, there is no middle ground with them.

This has been a great tour so far, making up for a truly dismal world cup. If only more people knew they were missing out on such top sports drama!

What do Schleck and Contador do after the descent?

I think Wigg made a balls of his chances this year. Last year with garmin he really gave all different types of races ago. This year with Sky he has fallen into the pattern of the big guns of only focusing on TdF, as he is team leader. Rode the Giro well and relaxed in the last week when he was in 7th GC. He also had Van Den Velde helping him in the mountains.

Andy grabbing a sly feel of conti's bum!

Of the 4 leaders I'll go with Cunega for the win. Luis Leon Sanchez beat Sandy Casar in a similar sprint last year

Don't know anything about the bBox rider but he's in polka dot now

he easily stuck with contador there who is half decent and had him under pressure at times. dont mind kelly what does he know;)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,818 ✭✭✭nerraw1111

Wiggins problem is that he joined Team Sky which meant quite a lot of coverage from Sky News et al who bigged up his chances way beyond the expectations of most observers.

I thought Shleck's descent was terrible. Either that or Sean Kelly is doing some kind of mind control on me.

Be careful with that. Thats based on the official site times and they often don't have correct times for anyone outside the top 12 on the road

    We'll know at the end
