Golden Fry Ballinlough closing?

    Heard a few rumours recently about the Golden Fry in Ballinlough closing soon and someone new taking it over.

    These rumours were reinforced today when I saw this :

    Such a shame that a well established take-away could be taken over by someone now who could change everything that makes it unique.

    Must get a few Chicken Maryland's in before it's gone!

    The story I heard is that the lady who owns it is staying on for a year to ensure a smooth transition. Plus the son of the guy who bought it is supposed to be running it eventually.

    Measly Portions.
    Rude Staff.
    Irregular Closing Hours (Closes when she likes even if its relatively busy)
    Long wait even if only getting chips or something cooked relatively fast.

    Cant stand the place despite having nice food. Wont miss it TBH.

    Can't agree on the staff or the portions, the irregular hours will no doubt be sorted under new ownership as they'll be trying to make as much as possible, I reckon Francis wasn't stuck for the next ESB bill.
