Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I hate it when you read something on lifehacker about running OSX in Virtualbox, then find out your CPU doesn't support virtualisation, then go hunting for one that does and decide that, hey, your computer's 6 years old and could really do with an upgrade. :D

    Currently have...
    • Asus K8N-E Deluxe nForce3 (Socket 754) Motherboard
    • AMD Athlon 64 3400 (Socket 754)
    • Sapphire ATI Radeon 9800SE

    Considering... (prices from OCUK)
    • Asus M4A87TD Evo AMD 870 (Socket AM3) DDR3 Motherboard - £84.99
    • AMD Phenom II X4 Quad Core 955 Black Edition 3.20GHz (Socket AM3) - Retail - £128.99
    • Asus ATI Radeon HD 5770 CuCore 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card - £131.99

Main stuff I use the PC for is Adobe Creative Suite, the faster the better... but no 3D gaming. So maybe this is overkill. Meh :D

Already have 3GB RAM, couple of monitors etc... although will be considering an IPS panel in the near future also.

Is there a cheaper gfx card out there that would suffice? With at least dual outputs? I picked a cheap one but even still, it still feels like I'm wasting half that cash.

Currently on WinXP... should I go for Win7 too, 64 bit, some extra RAM, yadda yadda?

    And/or am I nuts? :pac:
