hi, theres a job coming up soon for the position of sub-officer at the station. im just wondering are there any books or is there anything i could b brushing up on for the interview. any info would be very much appreciated. thank you.

You should have access to the Irish firefighter and junior officer handbooks on station, but they're also online at environ.ie . You may also be able to locate UK Fire Service Manuals.

The UK used to have an exam based promotion system, run by the FSEB - this has been superceded in recent years, but the candidate handbooks are still up, with tonnes of info (obviously UK based).
