Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Heading off to Europe later this month and want to buy a portable power station in case I get stranded. Can anyone recommend one that could dead-start a 2.8 diesel turbo engine and where would I be able to buy it?

Bring a set of jump leads too. You will never be very far away from another MH in France. At the worst you could take out your leisure battery and jump start the engine with it if needed.

Anything that I've seen that says less than 1600A has been a toy, the good ones now seem to have two sealed lead acid batteries. I'm not sure if you can find them anymore because of the european abhorence of cadmium but my dad has a nicd one at work that starts a 16 cylinder cummins no problem and its more than 10 years old, a lead acid one would be dead many years ago. NiCd are ideal for this type of application.
