I have me a purple squire that honestly plays better than an American Strat I have. What I want to do is put an S-1 switch in it with some nice pickups so I have a few questions....

First, can I just go and buy an S-1 switch off Fender? I've had a look around and asked people and gotten mixed responses.

Can I put in the S-1 system with any pickups? Or is there different wiring connections needed?

Considering the wiring is an absolute c*nt how much should I expect to pay? (no chance I could do it myself)

i got a us strat altered in jimis music store. got a humbucker nd 2 volumes in it :) seems they specialise in electric guitar wiring. ask 4 dave. he no's his stuff(is a bit confusing with all his technical talk) but dus a gud job. u usually have to supply ur custom parts tho(ie pickups if u want certain 1's)

Yeah I just went into Xmusic and they're getting me the parts this week and installing it all for free! Great buncha lads in there. I've seen a few threads here saying they've had problems with them but I've always been very impressed

There isn't one! Aside from buying the pickups there. I was talkin to your man for a good while. He even gave me a free Roland daisy chain because they were out of the universal ones. Happy days

Oh I just re-read my post. They are installing the S-1 system for free, I obviously have to pay for the switch and pickups
