See other thread running. This issue is of serious concerns to surfers not only in Clare, but also all over the world. The surfers are not against the proposed pier and acknowledge the need for it, however it is the proximity to the waves and the potential to destroy the waves that is of serious concern.

We are seeking a meeting with Clare Co Co to discuss the plans and have yet to receive a response, hence the petition. The pier is not yet designed and now is an oppurtune time to engage with the surfers.

Please sign the petition to support. The waves in the Doolin area are a hugely valuable resource in terms of tourism - all year round.
