SBO rather than Japan, Japan has plenty of tournaments where you can have multiples of a character afaik. But yeah that sounds like a good idea, makes it a bit more fun.

I think a team tournament would be fun but I know that you've done one before at evo qualifiers. Maybe the 2 ideas could be done in the one session???I guess that'd depend on the amount of entrants. Either way I'm up for it.

I'll stay in a cheap ass hotel that night if there's beering involved!!.

I think a team tournament is the way to go.Two players per team no same characters allowed.
Would create great buzz and atmosphere (especially with booze involved)

What about having it on September 11th?

Gives everyone a month from now to plan and make arrangements.

Also, given how successful the fibbers pub tourney was, I reckon this is an untapped stream for both getting in fresh players and also possibly raising a few quid for the community pot.

A little bit of advertisement and word of mouth could bring in a lot of players.
There was a huge turn out to the fibbers one, as I reckon that a fair few folk would be put off infernos due to the hardcore attending and also the smell of nerd off it.

Much more acceptable to go for a few pints, watch a tourney and possibly show everyone your awesome SF skillz.

The fibbers one had 1 screen and was brilliant fun.
