So tempted to ring in with "I've been affected by 1)being kneecapped 2) having my head smashed in by a beer barrell"

Can barely type with the laughter.

There was that time I buried an IRA chief up the mountain alright.

That was a brilliant return, the gurgles from Git were disgusting. Fair play to Dazzler.

I've a feeling Nidge is gonna point the finger at the lad that got a lump taken out of his cheek in the pub

FPMSL - Pretty much what I was thinking - this whole show is comedy gold.

There's alot to be said about a well designed pipe bomb, it all kicked off from that.

Between helping bury bodies of notorious RA members and helping Dave break up with his high maintenance girlfriend and selling insurance amongst other things there is just no end to that man's talents

That was good stuff. :) Looking forward to next Sunday already.

Ahh fair enough... I think that context actually got lost during the last hour such is the craziness of love/hate

Interesting to see if there will be any Long Good Friday references in the new series. It's kinda set up for it.

Nidge says something about killing one and he's just replaced by another then another. Definite LGF reference.

    Brilliant episode.

They are going to find it hard to top that for the rest of the series. Git's son looks familiar anyone know what he was in?

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,750 ✭✭✭el diablo

When Fran came to help he was driving a left hand drive car. The next scene it was right hand drive. Or maybe I'm seeing things. :p

    Good black comedy.

Can't see Nidge lasting in an upper management position for long though. He now has to kill the dipstick son and bang his missus for good measure.

I thought he was going to tell Fran to dig up the body again and kill a bullock at the end. Still, all-day breakfast.

First time I've watched it. Rougher than Boardwalk Empire even.

There was considerably more violence against men depicted in tonight's show.

Anyway, like I said, if people can't handle seeing prostitution and violence portrayed in a drama, then they shouldn't watch it anymore.

No need for RTÉ to give out helpline numbers after a show like this.

John Boy would have been brilliant in the role Nidge is playing against the IRA

Such a pity he was killed off because this series was made for Hughie (played by Brian Gleeson) from series 1 imo. Psychocotic and unpredictable, as good as the show is i think he was one of the best characters ever in it. a complete nut job.

He must have had about 10 pints all over town, followed by whiskey in the pub where they killed the RA fella, and he still got through a Garda checkpoint!!

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,196 ✭✭✭Shint0

...and the burial of a body in a field with a digger and a barrell involved. A bit too close to the bone but they wouldn't have been able to edit it as the whole programme revolved around it.

Combination of bored tired copper, believable excuse and mouthspray. He made damn sure not to be in the van - worst that would happen was they'd be lifted for drunk driving. Sheehan had already got the warning and was on his way to the mountains.
