Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Does the Social Welfare department ever want to see evidence of jobseeking?

I've been receiving a Jobseeker's payment since September of last year. That's (JA/JB, can't remember which) about to run out and I'll be reviewed for the other flavour of payment. I collect my payment each week at the Post Office and I've went to sign on at an office in town three times since September. However, I've never been asked to show evidence that I've actually looked for work, all I'm asked to do is sign a piece of green card.

I was unemployed in England back in 2004 and I had to sign on every two weeks. At each meeting I would also be asked to show evidence that I'd been looking for work. I'd bring copies of email applications and the like.

Has anyone ever been asked to show evidence?

When i first applied for jsa i was asked to provide proof i was looking for work and emails about job applications was enough to satisfy them.

I was asked at one stage when I was on JSA - details of what job and when I applied.
