Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I am a beginner at photography and I am currently doing a course in it, I am studying depth of field and shutter speed and have an assignment to do on it. However I am finding it hard to understand, I have set my camera to manual and can change shutter speeds but I am unsure of what F.numbers should be set for different shutter speeds. If anyone wants to give me some tips please feel free :)

There have been some recent threads on this topic, but you'll probably be better off reading a more authoritative guide on the matter.

there was an interesting discussion on it here - http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055964687

Have a read of it ((all)) - also bang into the forum's search the term "aperture" and "triangle" (as in peterson's photographic triangle).

Then when you've read them post all your remaining questions :)

(no seriously, i mean it - do post any resulting questions, there'll be plenty of help)

And read "Understanding Exposure" book, it is priceless especially if you are not certain about those terms.
