Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi

Not sure if anyone can help me here, bit off topic but here goes. Typically what percentage of a bikes price goes to the retailer?
A friend is investigating an opportunity to import bikes into this country which are not currently available here but it will all depend on how much the retailer wants as to whether its viable.

    TIA
    TomC

Margins on treks are 30% from top to bottom.

Other brands yes the margins reduce as you go up the range.

most shops survive not by selling bikes but accessories, the markups are much more on them. bikes of course are a significant part of it, but far from the keeping head above water.
