Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Medical Card vs Private Insurance

Was hoping to get advice on Medical Cards vs Private Health Insurance. Paranoid to drop the insurance as there are young children in the family but was hoping someone could advise. Are there any benefits to holding onto the insurance if the Medical Card becomes available? Does holding the card really make the insurance pointless?

In the case of an emergency, everyone is treated the same in the A&E department, where private insurance comes into its own is if you need elective procedures done as these lists are shorter than public ones. Personally if you can possibly afford it you should hang onto your private insurance for the time being anyway..............

Thanks for that. Will have to give it some thought but don't think I can afford to keep it.
