why can i not browse in beta..

hi folks, when i browse the forums i can only use the beta skin if i'm logged in. why is this? up until a couple of weeks ago i could browse in beta while not logged in

Skins are only available while logged in. This change came about as a consequence of a bunch of changes I've been making to the site.

Tech version: There used to be two ways of storing a skin preference, cookie and database. Now it's only stored in one place, the database. Any cookie skin preference you have will be synced into the database and the cookie will be deleted.
