Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hey there, quick question folks.

What's the story if you work one or two days a week earning €220-€250 per day, are you or are you not entitled to the dole for the other days? It might sound like a good rate, but in slow periods one day of that every week or two is not a lot to be surviving on in Dublin.

If it is unemployment benefit, you can claim for the days you have not received the dole.

If it unemployment assistance you will be means tested on this income.

means tested ie assessing your income against your outgoings
JSA is anything up to 196p/w so if your earning 500p/w then yes they can say feck off as you are earning well above JSA
it doesnt matter what you owe out re loans there are loads of ppl on welfare who owe money but just have to manage until work comes along count yourself lucky if you can get work and earn that amount for 2 days work
