Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi, just a quick query with regard to the Back to School Allowance. I'm a single mum, working full time. My son is going into Senior Infants in September. At the moment I'm earning about €30 over the limit for BTSA but I have a lot of outgoings, rent/car loan/childcare etc and am extremely tight for money this summer!!! Does anyone think it would be worth my while to apply for this allowance or are they very strict on income limits. And I am in receipt of FIS each week aswell.Any advice would be greatly appreciated. :)

you need a social welfare payment(in your case FIS) to recieve back to school but you can still be over the limit.no harm to apply tho.

I just read on the citizens advice site that FIS is not counted.
