Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,
Ciaran here, I like my music and have about 200GB of music, now I have it all on a hard drive but it is a bit of a pain hooking it up to a laptop and playing it through that. Is there anything available that is basically a harddrive with loads of storage and also able to play MP3s through a set of speakers???? just with a small screen to search???
I know there are hard drives available that can hook up to a tv and play movies and programs you have downloaded???
    ANy help appreciated
    Ciaran

Apart from getting a multimedia player like you mention above you may have to opt for something like this which supports USB connectivity. Probably not worth it unless you have an iPod as well though.

yeah, it seems I've found a gap in the market. I basically just want a hardrive that has a basic screen to scroll through MP3s and can play them through a stereo line in. You'd think they'd have something like that.

emm, could you not just get an iPod or some similar mp3 player? it has a small screen, you can get loads of storage with it. buy a dock for it as well and you can play music via speakers.

    Don't think they've released a 200gb iPod yet :D

OP: How about this. It's a snip at £4,500 stg!

woah, 4,500......we're in a recession. Yeah I hate ipods though and my sony walkman is about 16GB and goddamit that just will not do.

Whats the biggest storage on an mp3 you can get that's software independent.

Not sure what you mean there. All players will need some software to run. Anyway I'd say something like this Archos is your best bet (500GB)

i think he means no iTunes etc. you can just drag and drop songs onto the player.

feck me, that's an expensive thing, that Archos  i'd sooner loop it through my laptop than buy one of those.
