Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

rent allowance question

Myself and my girlfriend have recently split up and she technically is guardian to my 2 children. I have custody of them 3 days a week, to top things off i'm also jobless atm.

So atm im staying in my parents, obviously i can't keep myself and 2 kids staying on a sitting room floor Thursday through Sunday indefinately. I've bein to see my CWO and she said I'm only entitled to claim rent allowance up to €103.85 (the amount for one single childless person), which of course will only get me the crappiest of 1 bedroom apartments and in areas where i'd feel unsafe with my kids.

Does anyone know if for example I was to get some kind of legal writing to state I have them 3 days per week would it by any chance improve my case to get rent allowance on somewhere that actually matches my needs?

Having them three days a week, she should hand you some of the children's allowance also i think. And i don't see why not getting something in writing might allow you more for a two bedroom.
    Good luck op :)
