    Hey The Predator

Check out our link here for Philips TV's.
You'll see in the spec's for the new 7605 and 8605 ranges that they can handle MKV files via USB.

Your welcom to call in with a USB stick with MKV files on it and we'll test it out for you.

    Cheers

    Hey,
I've tried a few different types of mkv files on an 8605 TV and they all playback perfectly.
The only issue I have found is that files with DTS Audio will play video, but won't decode the audio.
    Excellent TV.

    The Predator,

Apologies for the delay getting back to you - I have been trying to do a bit of homework on this for you behind the scenes and I am getting back mixed information - It appears that some of the latest LED models do support MKv format - however there also does appear to be issues with that playback especially with the Audio playback - older models appear to be able to play MKv's without too many issues however again it appears that you will have to get into the service menus to access this ability (which is not something we would normally recommend as you can scupper your TV with an incorrect button press).

If you have a scope around AV forums or ask on the Boards HE forum you may find a Sammy user who can give you firm info - however as far as I can see at the moment this is not a standard feature.

Apologies we could not be more helpful at the moment,

    ATB,
