Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The HTC Smart is actually not an Android based phone it's running brew operating system the HTC Wildfire is an Android based phone which is going to be around the 250 price range on 3 network in the next few weeks I've heard .

Yeah, as mentioned above, it's not an android phone, it uses the Brew operating system. You won't have access to the android market or have any of the other features of android.

It does have HTC Sense, so the UI will look like the other handsets (more or less) but that's where the similarities end.

I haven't used one so I don't know what they're like beyond that, but from what I've read it sounds a bit limited... would you consider the Wildfire instead? It's like a smaller version of the Desire. I think it looks really cool.

If you're on bill-pay (which you should probably consider if you're buying a smartphone - they're sort of pointless without a data plan) you can get it for €79 on Meteor with a €30/month contract.

Ah, well the price now makes sense!

I have an android phone at the moment, but am unhappy with it to be honest. Also I'm on PAYG and it is fine for my needs with apps and using the data allowance.

I am totally up for a HTC but I guess I'll just wait for one in my price range - I think 400euro is too expensive. Anyway if I got a bill phone, I'd end up paying the difference for the contract anyway. I really don't need to be tied down for 12 months especially when I can get away with using 20e a month on PAYG

Well you could get the smart and try it out. If you're not happy you can bring it back within 14 days for a refund (I think - check in the store)

That's well and good but I'd have to change network to get it and that's not the most appealing!!!
