    depends on your weight/height.
    wahine is a polynesian term for woman so theres a clue there as to the appropriate 'stature' of the person riding the board.
    I'd say it would be an ideal board for a child to learn on, as in my opinion, any adult learnign to surf is better off on a fully fledged longboard 9ft+.
    Bigger board = more waves, more stable and you'll keep a longboard as they are super fun when the surf is very small.

    Other people think otherwise... and I think they are wrong wrong wrong!!! (tongue firmly in cheek)
    It certainly is a good price.
