Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Now that the World Cup is over, when you look back on it who for you stood out who was unknown before. For me:

    1. Egidio Arevalo-Rios (Uruguay, Penarol),
This guy looked a class act in the middle of the pitch. Works so hard and I think was one of the main reasons for Uruguays success.

    2. Diego Perez (Uruguay , Monaco),
What I said above goes double here.

    3. Mark Paston (New Zealand , Wellington Phoneix),
Outstanding performances kept the kiwis in it against Italy and its a shame they didn't go further

The Portugese left Back Contraou (SP??) . Looked very dangerous.

Ozil was another I didnt know much about. At 21 he already looks like hel be a quality player.

Had never even heard of Thomas Muller before the tournament, and he was one of the best at it

Not sure how hidden they are after performing at the World Cup :pac:

Annan of Ghana could definitely do a job in the Premiership. Fabio Coentrao too, although he is already at Benfica. Interesting to see how Douglas Costa gets on too.

I think Gyan did really well for Ghana. Not the most polished player but effective nonetheless. And despite his cuntishness, I finally know why there was all this hype surrounding Quagliarella some time ago

And where the hell did Müller come from? Such a clever player, never puts a foot wrong. Germany struggled when a 20 year old 7 cap player is suspended?
