    Hello,
I'm just wondering if this is a http://www.argus-family.de/produktreceiverargusmini2in1.html firmware update IE the file with 25-10-10- v1.2.86

I tried to load it up but it was not accepted by the box.

my german is not great so maybe somebody has done this and can share the knowledge /benefit please?

Wrong box...you chose the 2 in 1 but you want the 2 in 1 IP

In most cases there is no reason to upgrade the firmware at all. It is mainly to resolve issues in Central Europe.

Flashing the box when you have no issues is just silly.

Lots of stuff gets lost in translation.

Put it this way, flash it with the wrong firmware and you will most likely KILL your box. An expensive lesson. :)

As an aside anyone who happens upon this thread who is looking for a box that combines Irish Digital TV and British Satellite in one box should also look at the "Ferguson Ariva HD combo" - €169 from satellite.ie. No more bills.

It allows you record Irish DTT whilst watching Satellite and vice versa.

id like to thank those who educated me in the past week regarding RTE digital,s service , i rooted around in my attic yesterday and connected my aerial ( which was lieing idle this past number of years ) to my sky + box , only learned in the past few days that a sky box is also a DB-T decoder , anyway , connected the aerial to the sky box and another cable from the sky box to the back of the tv , within three minutes my tv had found 15 RTE digital channels , most of them are radio channells but RTE 1 and RTE2 are crystal clear and every bit as good as through the sky sat subscription , also noticed that RTE have a news channell

TG4 or TV3 are not available however , not even highlighted , no attempt to find them ?????

Which sky box have you got??

All Sky boxes have RF loopthrough (and most have RF modulators) so it doesn't really matter which box he has, any would have done the same thing if the aerial had have been attached to it.

And the quoted post is from a year & a half ago & the guy who posted it has been banned in the meantime.

I suspect dwaned thinks the Sky box was decoding the Saorview signal & wants one the same ...

Right I see, so his sky box probably wasn't working as a dual box then...

No probably about it. Skybox is satellite only & limited even for that.

can you advise what combo box is the best currently on the market?
is there a box now available that doesnt require a UHF aerial to receive the DTT channels/ just satellite required?
what is the best value for money and where can i buy it this week?

    many thanks in advance
