Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The camera probably uses some scan method to read from the imaging chip. It scans one row or column at a time into a buffer to make up the eventual image. Reading each scan line is fast, so the image appears sharp, but reading the entire series of scan lines takes a finite amount of time, so any camera movement will result in distortion of the image similar to what you see here. I'd wager you wobbled the phone a little as the image was being taken. It's a similar issue to using a slit scan shutter in which the slit can move relatively slowly across the image plane, while only exposing the film or sensor very briefly.

i suspect it scans the picture up the sensor, so as the car has moved forward during the exposure, the top of the frame is taken from a different angle and that creates the lean.

Technically speaking I'm breaching copyright here by posting someone else's shot. OTOH it was my camera and was taken by Missus P&B, she who must be obeyed. She's using mine while she's waiting for hers to arrive......:)
