Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

hi... I know there have been threads on this before, but no clear answers (for me at least).. I recieved an email with an attachment which is .docx extension. When I download it, it saves as a zip file, and when I unzip it it extracts as 3 folders... _rpes word docProps each of which contain xml files only.

I looked at several solutions online and tried them. I downloaded Openoffice and tried to open each of the files, but to no avail, and I also tried using an online .docx converter which tells me that xml is an unrecognised file type. I cant seem to find clear instructions on how to open the files... do they combine to form one readable file? It only is a 2 page document that I recieved, I don't know why it has seperated into a heap of xml files... thanks in advance

You need to open the file (ie zip file) in openoffice, its a xml based format and your probably unpacking the xml code :)

doesn't seem to be co-operating either... my only option still seems to be to pick from one of the xml files... when I select the zip file in question (IWA tax), and try to open it, it just lists the contents... see image

you know its a Microsoft Word 2007 file type right?

You can get free converters for earlier versions of Word and there are many websites which will convert it for free to a different file type.

You will want to use the free viewer then - here

You do not need word to use this and it will open the docx format file for you.
