Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi all,

I lost my job about a month ago and started the process of claiming JSA straight away. I'm supposed to meet the Social Welfare Inspector on Thursday but I have now been offered a job and don't need to sign on. Do I just contact the office and say I don't need to sign on now? I know I'm due JSA for the last month but I don't need that money and as such I don't want to take it. I'd feel like a scrounger. As such is it as simple as just calling in and signing off?

    Thanks!

I would try and get the JSA or JSB, after all, its the whole reason you pay PRSI and Income tax, its not just free money, especially if you are somebody who works.

If you are certain you dont want apply I think it is simply a case of ringing them. They can be quite slow in processing dole applications, I was off work for a month, and I was well into my new job by the time I got my benefit.
