I don't go for the clean shaven look. Apparently, my fiancé looks like a white Jesus. Oooh, I do love the passion of the Christ. :p

I loooooove clean-shaven! It's nice to face-snuggle up to a guy who has freshly shaved. It's so soft and all that good stuff...doesn't make him any less a man, in my opinion. Ahh so sexy...but stubble is good once in awhile...as long as it doesn't give me some kind of rugburn...haha..

i have a friend who will only go for guys who shave their pits. i would be freaked if my boyfriend started that up! i love beards, moustaches and long hair. my OH often has a twirly moustache and/or full beard - his family hate it, they can blame me :pac:

Absolutely love stubble/ beards, not too long like Santa or anything though. Like goatees as well, think they can look v hot, v bikerish:). My OH is clean shaven at the mo unfortunately. This is a recent notion he has taken:(. Fecker did it on the sly, waited till I wasn't home. Went out to shed to ask him something when got home, something didn't feel right and he kept sniggering whilst talking to me. Couldn't work out what was wrong. About 2 hours later, youngest says to me " why did Daddy shave off his beard??" Can't believe I didn't cop it, he'd not been clean shaven in at least 5 yrs:eek:

Haha, we've a few friends who look like Jesus! I was sitting in the car once in the dark and one jumped up against the wondow, it was like the second coming, I nearly **** myself, Jesus screaming through my window while I was sitting in the car in a dodgy area.

Who said hairy chests??? Why do men wax or shave their chests???? If I wanted a prepubescent bloke I'd be hanging outside the school gates, I mean come on, I had 2 exes that did this and I hated it.

Exhibit A - The man, the moustache, the legend... Mr Tom Selleck *swoon*

Exhibit B - Kurt Russell with his lustrous locks and full beard in The Thing . Both manly and practical in all that snow.

Exactly. How could you not like beards?

    For example:

OMG had forgotten how hot Tom Selleck was:). Not many fellas can carry off a moustache like that, can look a bit porn star. Had a lecturer in college years ago who had a beard but no moustache:eek:. He looked like a garden gnome. Not good.

I usually have a beard and recently shaved it off. I'm lazy and hate shaving and with 4 or 5 days growth I noticed I get a lot more looks from the ladies :D

Gutted I didn't go to it now! :(
For me, it completely depends on the guy under the beard. I generally do not like facial hair but sometimes I'll see a guy with stubble or a goatee and think OH YUM! Not a fan of the Amish-type full beard though. :pac:

i loveee beards, ranging from stubble to proper beard depending on the guy.

but i feel bad cos sometimes i'll meet a guy with a beard and realllly fancy him, and a week later if he shaves, it changes his face completely and i don't fancy them anymore. the difference can be REALLY dramatic with some guys. it sounds so shallow, i know, but it's the truth. i was seeing a guy with a beard, but had seen photos of him without it, and seriously felt like if he decided to shave it, i honestly wouldn't have been attracted to him at ALL. this is a guy i knew really well and cared for and stuff, and wasn't with purely because of looks or anything, but i still don't think id have been able to kiss him if he had decided one day to get rid of the beard forever. it sounds so awful of me!
luckily things ended before that ever happened haha.

i do like clean shaven guys too btw, im not an exclusive beard lover, just to clarify!

I trim my chest and underarm hair, dont shave it all off, just tidy it, I hate long underharm hair its horrible looking. feels a lot cleaner as well when its a bit shorter, and my chest hair grows wierdly, its way longer in the centre than the rest so its like I have a rug stuck to the midle of my chest lol, so I trim it to even it out. no complaints yet :)

I agree with you. A couple of months into our relationship, my ex decided to stop shaving, except every week or so he'd give in and shave. It's awful, but every time he shaved, I fancied him less. Now, in fairness, he was completely clean shaven when we started going out so it's not like I completely went off him. But then about 6 months in, he grew a proper beard at my urging. The difference was astonishing. I found him way more physically attractive with it, and all my friends were astonished at how much it suited him. He used threaten daily to shave it off, and I was genuinely afraid that if he did, I would no longer fancy him.

Once we broke up, I insisted that he had to shave the beard off, because it was my mark on him. He refused, saying it was there to stay and he had no intention of ever shaving it .

Once someone grows a beard, it's only a matter of time before it comes back if they shave it off...

Before I met my current OH I would have said beards/moustaches (in fact I still have a problem with moustaches, unless their handlebar ones) was most certainly a no-no.

However my current OH's face is probably 70% facial hair (not in a teen wolf way in a bearded way). I think it's lovely and it's one of my favourite features about him. I've never known him without his beard so the idea of him shaving it off would be a little scary!

But I have to say I really appreciate beards now and find a man with a beard or some stubble quite sexified!

Also here's a tip if your man has a fairly thick beard a scratch under the chin (yes like a doggy) and you will own him!! Although this might just apply to himself..

I like hair from the neck up :) Beards and Stubble are ok with me, and longish hair too, to the shoulders maybe. Bit of a guy has short hair or a shaved head, then a bif of facial scruff is a must

I was in the pub this evening. Every single guy I picked out as being hot had noticeable facial hair. I have such a type! :o

love guys with stubble, couple that with an eyebrow piercing, a tattoo and one of those beanie hats and im sold! :P
i think guys with patchy hair who look like they're just hitting puberty and have a bit of hair on upper lip growth is not attactive. they need to give up the dream!
nothing more manly than a guy who ya know can grow a beard...but doesn't let a full one form. Instead they go for that lazy i dont give a **** that i look scruffy look (but im not scruffy...i shower regularly!) That's imporant, if you're going for the scruffy look you have to make sure that you still keep yourself and shower regularly :)

I've always had a a thing for beards and a HUGE thing for sideburns, but moustaches had always been a big no-no. Until last Thursday when I met a guy who really, really pulled it off.

Seriously, I just wanted to nibble it. I'm afraid I may have developed a perversion.

I like the look of stubble on some men. Some can pull it off in a rough lookin way, but others just look homeless. But don't like stubble when it comes to kissing, as others have said. It just scrapes way too much!

Don't like beards at all. The mention of a beard makes me imagine an old slobby fat man with no pride in his appearance. I know not all men with beards are like that, so don't attack me! I'm just sayin in general I'd be put off by a beard.

I may be changing my mind about the facial hair/beard thing....thanks to am, someone..... :D

Ah, now, I love the beardy faces, but goatees I just don't like at all. They're the mullets of facial hair; party in the front, business round the side.

Not a fan of beards really, and definitely not moustaches. A slight bit of subble is fine, but nothing more than that.

  • Registered Users Posts: 131 ✭✭Reeni

Love facial hair on men. Although I think a tache on its own just looks wrong *shudder*. I prefer a full on beard to just stubble but really when it comes to facial hair vs clean cut I'll always go for facial hair
