Just thought I should mentioned it on boards.ie too. We just launched new website http://agiletech.ie .

First time I actually like our homepage :) And it took a while to build it too (as there is always some more important things to do).

    All comments are welcome!

Site looks great, love the clean design. What technology did you use for content management?

We are currently having some technical difficulties. Please retry later.

    I'll check back tomorrow!

    It uses Agile Toolkit 3.8.

We hope to have public release of next version before 2011. We will send newsletter out.

    Actually few questions ..

    - could you find and was it easy to locate "newsletter"
    - or contact page?
    - if you would be looking for web development, do you need actionable button such as "Get a Quote Now"? Im worried it might make site look cheap.

    Thanks for nice comments :)

i found it easy to find the newsletter button. the bottom of the page is where i would automatically go to look, along with the facebook and twitter links.
contact is where it should be, i think.

although i wouldn't instinctively go for "Contact" to look for a quote for Web Development. maybe if you had it in another tab, i would know exactly where to go, without wondering where to get a quote.

other than that, i think your site is very well laid-out, nice clean design, and i liked the fact that the contact details and links to FB/twitter/newsletter were at the bottom of every page. well done :)

Great review whiteman, thanks. Will pass that to designer and think over renaming Contact :)

I like everything besides the top menu, this needs some kind of background image

Hi eziite, I have a couple of suggestions.

    1) There are some and spelling mistakes
    Footer - Telpephone
http://www.agiletech.ie/company/ - "aboard" should be "abroad"
http://www.agiletech.ie/company/ - "specialized" should be "specialised"

    2) I hate saying this as my grammar is terrible, but it might be a good idea to have a copywriter review the content and make some tweaks. I feel the tag line and the copy on your company page could be cleaned up a little.

    3)Contact Form
I think users might get confused by this form - is it a "Contact" or a "Request a Proposal" form. I would probably build a separate form so you can accept proposal requests. You can be a bit more specific about your questions, such as budget, project type, size etc... this will help with the quality of your leads.

I happen to like this example http://stuffandnonsense.co.uk/company/contact.

    4) On your contact page - Instead of saying you are based in Stillorgan, include your full business address.

Not crazy about the colour change when leaving the Home page, but overall I think the site looks great :) Nice clean and sophisticated.

I'm not entirely sure what I'm supposed to do on the site or what I should do to find what I want, so a clear call to action on the home page might be a good idea. I know that you look good and probably are good, but I need a bit more nannying to help me through. The showcase of previous projects might take a bit too much precedence as I'm looking at that hoping to see how exactly you can help me.

    Hope this isn't too vague!

Think your logo should be on the left not right, it's human nature to look at the top left first.

Main page looks good, but each other page looks like a different website. I would try keep the same colour scheme across the website.

Content and layout looks good though.

We all pay designers to make our pages stand out. So if it takes them to move logo around, make pages in different styles or shift focus from menu to the content - I can't find anything why that would be a bad thing.

I find it exciting that every page is looking different. It feels more interesting to explore - you never know what you find on next page.

Not really, it's to provide the expected user experience. Standing out is not quite the same nor is making things different for the sake of it.

Making things different requires the user to re-figure out how to use the page which isn't what they want to do. Instead you'd be much better off letting just get down to doing what they actually want to do. Nevermind consistency for branding.

    It's a good book.

That's exactly my point. Put content in a most visual way. I'm not proposing to move menu around for each page. But the minor things can be moved around for best experience, don't you think?

Which part of the page exactly took time to re-figrue?

What minor things would you like to see moved around?

The fact that the page changes it's main colour may make some users think they are on a different website. If they're looking for developers and have 10 tabs open, busily looking through each one, probably being distracted by other people, phone calls, other things they've to do, if the website they remember as 'the black one' isn't there anymore and instead there's a 'white one', it could trick them in to thinking it's a different site and will spoil their stay.
