Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi there,

I'm just wondering has anybody signed up for the i102 104 ten week course in radio broadcasting?? I'm a fourth year media student in UL and unsure of what I want to do when I leave college. The course is a ten week part time course (one evening a week) costing 400euro covering aspects from music programming, radio engineering and presenting. Just wondering what are people's thoughts on this.... deadline is Friday...:confused:http://www.iradio.ie/courses/

    Hey,
I actually signed up to this just to reply to your post :P
I'm thinking about signing up but was unsure due to ability to attending the course. Are you sure it's part time? 'Cause I would definitely do it then !
I say it would be well worth it. Having experience with Co-hosting on iRadio. I know I would definitely enjoy it and yourself if you have an interest in radio.
But hell I say go for it ! The outcome can surely only be good ! :)
And I might even see you there :D

It sounds like a bit of a rip off tbh. That's €40 a class. In my experience for areas such as radio or television the best way to learn is to shadow a team for a few weeks!

I know most radio stations are under BAI regulations where they take on students to work for 2 weeks to a month and that way you get to work in every area instead of being sat down in a room and lectured to.
