The four small express shops have their bread baked in the larger stores and transported over. Only the small rolls and the like in the small stores are par-baked.

    Not 100% accurate - the speciality breads ie with herbs and spices etc are sourced from the nearest larger store as they can't be part baked but most breads, rolls, scones, croissants etc are oven baked / finished off in store. That would include your normal pans, vienna pans etc.

    I stand corrected about Superquinn, a few guys in work said that their bread is baked in store. As stated above.

    If that is the case the price is brilliant considering the man hours that go into making it.

    Def the best tasting bread in any supermarket.

    superquinn's bakery has gone downhill tho in the last few years, some definte buying of cheaper ingredients to cut costs, and quality has been effected because of it
