Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    I am playing this online and I have a couple of questions

    1. As a newbie I have a lowish rating (20) but I am constantly being put in matches with players with far higher ratings , like 60 or 70. Whats the story with that ?

    2. Is it worth downloading the other maps such as the Resurgence or Stimulus packs ?

    There is no matching of skill levels in MW. You just get thrown into any match, I think it's server based, so it just looks for matches on servers closest to you.

    I havent downloaded either of the expansion packs, but all I've heard so far is a big fat "meh" from most people who have.

    A high level doesn't necessarily mean they are good players so I wouldn't be worried about being in a lobby with people with high levels. I heard they new maps are poo and that they ruined the old cod 4 maps

    Depends , if you enjoy the game and plan on playing it for a good while , its worth it , if your going to put it on for an hour once or twice a week then no.

    Most of the new maps are good, one or two i tend to vote skip on. Thats not saying they are bad, i just tend to do really poorly on them :P Are they worth the price? If you play alot they are a breath of fresh air. I think i play alot at first prestige level 60, or is that second prestige? Ive leveled to 60 twice :P And i think that i play alot....so they worth it for me.

    As for what they did with the old maps. You can play the older maps the way you played them in CoD4. MW2 is a much faster game and when i tried to play the old maps the way i would in CoD4 it didnt feel right, maybe cause i was doing poorly :P
