    hello,

    Is anybody aware of a documentary on the first shuttle flight of Endeavour ? STS 49 i think. I remember when i was very young there was a show i taped and it came in 4 or 6 parts on the crew of the first Endeavour mission , how they trained, the build up to the flight and the flight itself. I just don't remember what channel it was on and i don't remember where i put the tapes.

    Does anybody remember this documentary ??? , I think it could have been called Astronauts , but I'm not 100%.

    many thanks

    I could have sworn it was on Channel 4 or BBC or something like that.

    If any one knows of any documentary on Endeavour please come forward lol , it's doing my head in.

    Haven't been able to find reference to it through Google. I did find a site that may be of interest,it has a load of Space documentaries to view in reasonable quality.

    had a search but couldn't find anything on the site.

    However i did find a tape with astronauts written on it, so its not a dream thank god. Only problem is i have to get a loan of a tape player from a friend now. I also really hope someone didnt tape over it.

    actually it says Air Force 1 , which i think is the film with Harrison Ford ( not as good but still pretty realistic and accurate film).

    I just hope the credits of it are left so i can identify the makers or anything like that. I'll get back to you when i get a chance to check the tape.

    Checked the tape, and turns out some clown recorded over it with some other film and other useless stuff.

    However . .

    I have been trying to find it online, and i think i have proof that it exists which is great because it could very well turn out that im not crazy and dreaming all of it up !

    I was searching and came across this guy -->

    http://www.keithrodgerson.com/Keith_at_work.html

    which let me to search for this -->

    http://www.servinghistory.com/topics/STS-72::sub::Documentary

    which has the same name, shuttle and description that i had in mind, just the wrong mission number and i thought the documentary was even longer than 90mins.

    further little clip -->

    http://www.nss.org/resources/library/shuttlevideos/shuttle74.htm

    does anybody recognise it now by any chance ?.
