Dog friendly areas in Ashbourne

I'm moving back to Ashbourne this weekend (i grew up there a long time ago) and am looking for somewhere I can walk my 2 mad dogs off lead that is away from roads (my springer has issues with cars amongst other things) Now that the village is a town is there anywhere left for me to take them?
