Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hey guys,

Bought a HTC hero (unlocked but previously on orange) and am running it on vodafone network.

All is fine, except I didn't get the latest firmware update (I didn't even get the first update that let's you look for updates!).

All my friends on Meteor have since got the update over the air.

Is there a way I can download the rom and install it myself? I doubt vodafone actually have the update since they don't sell the phone themselves.

    Thanks,
    M

Have you tried connecting it to a Wifi network and checking for updates?

AFAIK you can't check for updates manually on a 1.6 Hero. What some of the lads have tried is setting the date to somewhere in November thus force it to check by itself. The other option is rooting and installing a custom ROM.
