Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi all,

Does anyone know of a freeware bit of software that monitors a folder and flashes up and on screen message / audio alert when a new file appears in the folder?

    Thanks,

    John

What OS have you used it on Lump?

I've tried it on XP Pro and it does exactly what it says on the tin so I'm wondering if it will run on Win 7?

Nice little App so cheers for posting it RoadKillTs :)

That's great John, good to know it works on 7 ;)

I have a shared network folder on a home network consisting of 5 machines & this App is great for informing everyone if someone has made changes to that particular shared folder.

I'm using this to monitor a shared network folder and it does it very well with one exception, if I restart the system (XP Pro) The App starts before the shared network folder is detected so the App displays a folder not found Msg. If I add the folder to the App again it works fine for ever more until the next restart.

I wonder if there is a solution to this problem?

Use this http://www.r2.com.au/software.php?page=2&show=startdelay for delaying many startup items in any order.
