Just wondering if anyone knows the cheapest way to see a doctor and possibly get an X-Ray in Dublin? If you go to a GP and get a referral do you pay twice?

Does anyone know the private fees for places like The Beacon in sandymount?

Basically been walking around on a sore foot for a while and it's getting worse. It's not swolen or bruised but really sore to put weight on. I have no insurance and no regular doctor so any advice would be appreciated.

The Mater clinic in Smithfield is supposed to be cheaper than A+E,€90 I think. With a referral from a Doc a visit to A+E was free up to last year, that's the last time I visited one,but a year is a long time in cutback times.

If you visit GP and get referral to A&E you don't have to pay the A&E fee just the GP fee. X-ray would include this as it would be a public visit.
